Job Description/Summary

Traffic management is a critical part of the internal front-end workflow for Breakfast for Seven (B47), which is the book publishing arm of Inprov. The traffic manager will ensure that projects run smoothly by managing the agencys internal processes. They will work behind the scenes playing a big role in every creative piece and every project delivered on time and to spec. The Associate Book Buyer is the other half of this position and another integral part of the B47 process. The associate book buyer will be responsible for the print and procurement of printing based on previous proven processes and procedures. This is a full-time, salary position.

What Youll Do

* Deadlines - The Traffic Managers job is to make sure all deadlines are met by working closely with account service teams and the creative art department

* Schedules - Using Wrike project management software, this position will maintain a current list of jobs within the B47 umbrella, ensuring deadlines are kept up to date. This position also works closely with the B47 leads in coordinating internal/external Creative Art, Editing, and Writing assignments to team members

* Process Management the Traffic Manager will be responsible for researching and recommending process improvements through Wrike, Teams, Outlook, etc. Our goal is to have unity in approach so that we can continue to find ways to streamline projects

* Bids - Generates printing and fulfillment specifications for bid

* Manage Vendor relationships - Vendor selection, negotiation, and management of vendor relationship

* Reviewal of Specs - Reviews project specifications submitted by designers, account team and vendor quotes to ensure accuracy

* Oversee Files - Submits final files for printing to vendors; follows up to make sure files were received

* Proof - Obtains and reviews printer/vendor proofs. Proofreading skills a plus

* Delivery Schedules Verify delivery schedules and reviews final printed materials to ensure accuracy and quality

* Sample Management - Maintains library of printed samples and distributes printed samples to Account teams and Creative Art teams

* Budget/Documentation - Complete all financial documentation for vendor negotiations, budget forecasting and payment of invoices and shipping

What Youll Need

* Relevant Bachelors degree or higher

* Minimum 3+ years in-house or agency experience in relevant field

* Great project management skills with the ability to switch gears quickly and meet deadlines

* Strong verbal and written communication

* Ability to quickly assimilate large amounts of information

* Collaborative work ethic and personal accountability

* A working knowledge of design and printing technologies

* Bonus: Experience in traffic management and book/print buying
