**Job Title:** **Sales Associate TRAINEE Corpus Christi, TX**

**Overview:**

The Final Control training program duration is approximately six months and will take place in the **GREATER HOUSTON** area. Trainee must be flexible to live in Houston area for 6 months to approximately 2 years, then return to Corpus Christi for their primary job role.

Under general supervision of the Sales Manager and direction of the Training Manager, the Sales Associate is responsible for providing both technical and commercial sales support to the Outside Sales Rep and the customers they serve.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Prepare proposals/quotes including product sizing, selection and pricing.

* Interact with customers on a day-to-day basis providing technical, commercial, and general sales support.

* Evaluate customer requirements and identify opportunities for optimizing margin and expanding scope of products/services supplied.

* Proactively follow up with customers on quotations.

* Develop and maintain a high level of technical proficiency with products represented.

* Follow safe work procedures and Company safety policies and procedures, which includes but is not limited to:

* Immediately reporting any injury, accident, or near-miss incidents

* Reporting unsafe hazards and unsafe conditions

* Completing safety training by the due date

* Using personal protective equipment as required by the employer

**Requirements:**

* Bachelors degree from four-year College or university, preferably in Engineering or Industrial Distribution, or industry related experience.

* General knowledge of business, industry and sales knowledge learned through a specific degree program.

* A combination of education and experience providing a basic framework and understanding of sales within our business and industry.

**WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS**

* Must be able to wear minimum level of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction which may include but is not limited to: safety glasses and hearing protection.

* Must have the ability to perform work with occasional walking and standing.
